Fracture Track
05:27
|
|||
. blasted n blinded to chaos/such sorry scenery/a tangle of irony/a web of alluring duplicity/waiting & beckoning, preying in the wings/damaging & incoherent/laughing in yr face then/grief-it always seems to sear so, into blue distance/poising, ready yet again .
. fracturing eyeless, unseeing/ emptying hideously/riding an animal hatred/a dead weighted misery/deliberate & crushing cursing/making you pretend/forcing such a numb & wasting path/for you to blithely tread/grief-it always seems to sear so, into blue distance/poising, ready yet again .

The Day Began
05:45
|
|||
. the day began. and my head swam with half-formed feeling/negative feeling. the sunlight poured through the open window/spilling & sliding across the walls & the ceiling/ & I wanted to find why the world had run wide - I wanted to run - & the day was beginning .
. & I walked to the window/& I searched for a sign/& I stared in the sky/& it was not revealing .
. & I saw no sign/& I saw no meaning/the day was alive/ & yet I could not feel it .
. & their words gathered around me/& their words took my hands/& I thought of their longing/& I though of their actions/& I thought of their lives/& I opened the window/& I began to quietly cry .
. I paid too much mind to someone else's thoughts/my heart skipped a beat when I looked for the clearing .
. & now I don't know whose salvation I was fighting for .
. & now I don't know whose voice it is speaking .
. & now I can't tell whose voice it is speaking .

Reverie
02:10
|
|||
. swords clash & I laugh/worlds collide in yr reverie/two sides will fight/arm to arm in clashing chemistry/tho something might tell you yr losing yr potency/something's still telling you to quieten - reverie . there's one task : to trap the laugh that binds yr soul in bitter harmony, in music that tells me yr losin yr simplicity/in mazes that lose you yr prize - or so yr telling me . swords clash & I laugh/worlds collide in yr reverie .

|
|||
. & you are grace, I don't lie .
. & there is light & knowing so quiet .
. here just for now - to taste all this taste .
. here as I sigh, I cry that you are grace - I cry you are grace .
. & you ARE grace, I don't lie & you will have this lovely night, here .
. just for now, to taste all this taste .
. & here as I sigh, I cry that yr grace - I cry grace .

Said Bitterly
03:49
|
|||
said bitterly . over n over n much more to bear/only to stumble again/only a silver tongued word or a phrase/never believe in a dying light . spiralling/ plummeting/tumbling nowhere/face like a wraith in a fever/hung on some treachery/keeping you where there is no place to redeem you . laugh like a liar a smashed looking-glass/empty of anything true/a vanished, worn travesty just staring back/looking like no one you knew before . flung out/n cancelled out/down to some pale glass-jagged memory of you/over my shoulder yr similar face/looking back to you/yet thru you . n now yr quick laughter rings hollow/n you know just how much it was worth/n its funny to think what will follow/n yr cynical laughter's just dirt . said bitterly.

In The Desolate Hills
03:51
|
|||
. I tell you/I saw him/asleep to his dream/beleaguered by fortune/persuaded by greed/hung on the sweetness of bittering lips/sold on the cheap lust of guilty footsteps/following after a promise .
. yr body/the arching of yr face/shadow thrown to the wall/such a dear n bitter fear/cocooned inside it all/its mine too, it belongs in me/it's mine as it is yours/I recognise the animal grace/the tender maze of remorse/sinewy creature, spoiling a world .
. and, after this promise of a love to be given/given softly in dazzling disguise disappearing/resplendent in emptiness/a terrible prize/a trophy of tragic proportion/ & sighing/talking/betraying/lips framing all the while/yr goodbye .

Biog stuff? It’s always changing. Re creativity, a wise man said: ‘‘It doesn’t matter where, as long as it’s out of this world’’. This seems a good way to feel about it all ... the music should be like a drugged dream, poem, hope, prayer - probably a blues .
